Anthony Thomas Ashiotis
Anthony was born in Nicosia. His mother is half English – half Irish whilst his father is Greek Cypriot. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and runs his own firm of auditors, accountants and consultants since 1990 based in Nicosia with clients based worldwide. He has over many years been involved in charity work, especially as President of Rotaract and Rotary Nicosia. His passion for the stage led him to start Acting for the Stage and Acting for the Camera at The Film and Stage Studio in 2014. He had leading roles in the yearly TFSS theatrical productions, including Mammakias (2014) at Theatre Pallas, for the Rotary Club Nicosia. Mammakias raised 17,000 euro in box office with all proceeds given to charity. Anthony also acted in Fools in Love (2016) and An Awkward Moment (2017) under the direction of Athena Xenidou. He has in recent years also taken up playwriting. Friends for Oscars is the first play he has written, and it was successfully produced at the Satirikon Theatre, Nicosia in 2021.
