Monica Gavrielides

Monica is a Brazilian-Cypriot with a career in banking, but her true passion lies in theatre , where she started acting at 14. Nonetheless, she was always active in English speaking groups in Rio where she acted, directed and produced. When she moved to California in 1999, she continued to be active, this time in the Novato Theatre Company wher she not only served on their Board as Artistic Director and Treasurer, but also acted, directed and produced a plethora of plays with raging reviews from the local Bay area media. In Cyprus, she joined TFaSS in 2016 where she participated in 2 Showcases – Fools in Love and That Awkward Moment (2018). In 2021, she acted and directed Love, Loss and What I Wore, a play by Nora Ephron, produced by W.E.T. – Women’s Emporment Theatre, a new theatre group founded with other alumnis - Aleen Andreou, Natasha Tavoukjian, Tamara Tutnjevic
